Over the years I have seen the following problems emerge from the Joomla Maintenance. Some of them are quite amusing while others will be annoying but the most important ones are something that you should not take lightly.
The first thing is the false directory listing. They are called directories and they are similar to the web directories in other web sites. The directory is a database with entries for all the modules. Whenever you do a search for a module the database will give you links to all the extensions which you can then click on to view the modules.
This is one of the most annoying problems you will face in Joomla and it is what we call a WYSIWYG Editor. The mistake is made when a Joomla user tries to edit the module using the WYSIWYG Editor. The module editor is quite expensive and when the mistake is made, the person who is using the module has to pay for a complete new one.
Another problem is that when the user tries to open a new site on the Joomla site is already available on another site. This happens when the user visits a different Joomla installation and tries to access a site.
In some cases the existing sites have these databases saved and stored on their server. When the user tries to edit the module the site is already in use and a few months later the same database will be available. If you edit the information in such a way, then the only effect is that you cannot open the new site.
Some site developers have the wrong site with the wrong page and then when someone changes the content to use the correct page, the user will get redirected to the incorrect site. This is a serious problem for sites with Joomla, as they cannot be easily edited because of this. They have to wait until the links come back to the right page.
Users tend to leave comments in the forums which make their request quite redundant. This is because when you use a forum post to interact with the person who created the forum, there is no reason for them to continue to leave comments in the same forum. They can simply be moved to a separate forum.
Joomla does not allow you to upload files unless you are certain that you have the right permissions. This is quite annoying but it also means that files that are uploaded into the wrong folder will not be accessible.
When someone signs up to a forum to get support for a Joomla site the forum rules do not apply to them and they can show off the posts to make themselves look good. This is one of the biggest problems that arises from the Joomla maintenance.
The above problems are only some of the bigger ones that occur when the Joomla maintenance is over set. Many smaller issues arise such as people duplicating a file by moving it to another computer and deleting the original. This is one of the most common mistakes.
There are many of us who cannot take the problems associated with the Joomla maintenance. You may find that it is one of the reasons that your site doesn’t work very well or is not performing like it should.
One of the best solutions to solving these problems is to use the Joomla maintenance cleaner. You download it and install it on your system. Once installed, it will scan your computer for any damaged or obsolete files and repair them.
