Joomla Components – Learn the Good, Bad, and Ugly

If you’re not familiar with Joomla, it’s a widely used content management system. It allows users to set up a website in a matter of minutes and adds unique features that will be of use in future websites.

It’s easy to see why many people would be tempted to get this component to enhance their web site. The fact is that while it can certainly make the creation of your site easier, there are a few things that you should know about it. As with anything you want to learn about, knowing the negative aspects of it can help you decide whether or not it’s something you need to incorporate into your website.

There is a lot of competition out there on the Internet. While there are many people who enjoy working with Joomla, it doesn’t mean that it’s an easy system to use. Because it’s so new, it still has some rough edges that need to be ironed out, and people who take the time to learn how to use it properly can often do a much better job of handling its quirks than someone who is just starting out.

A typical issue that has to do with Joomla is that if you have a problem, then you’ll probably have to wait until someone creates a help desk ticket to get it resolved. While this may sound like a good thing, you have to think about the fact that it can actually be a drawback.

Unfortunately, it can be very difficult to create a quick solution to a problem. While it might be one step faster to write a ticket instead of emailing a customer service representative, the fact is that email can often be easier on the recipient. It’s not unheard of for a problem to just keep coming back and they’ll keep forgetting about it until they remember.

Because of this, Joomla is not going to make it easy for you to create a website that makes people comfortable with your web site. It’s also true that there are some things that it will offer that you can’t easily get elsewhere. But while it is definitely helpful, it’s not necessarily the best choice for everyone.

Another issue that Joomla has is that it isn’t particularly flexible. It’s intended to be used for creating websites and the majority of the components that you find will work together. The more components that you install, the more things you’re going to be trying to do together, which means that you’re going to need to be on top of all of them to make sure that your pages load correctly.

When you consider that you’ll probably be creating a more complex work flow with Joomla, it makes sense that this would add to the complexity. While it does have several advanced features, it doesn’t go as far as having a website builder that allows you to write any HTML that you want. If you need something like this, then you’re going to have to look at some other web server software.

In addition, there are some issues with Joomla that you should be aware of. If you use it for any large project, then you’re going to want to spend the money for the most up-to-date versions of the software. While the features will be nearly identical, it’s always a good idea to be aware of the things that are new and upgraded when you’re buying new software.

There are also a few things that you need to be aware of when it comes to compatibility. While some older versions of Joomla might work with newer versions of Internet Explorer, there are no guarantees. There are some other components that might also need to be updated with Internet Explorer, and you might have to be careful when installing or uninstalling these components.

Some of the Joomla components that have been installed on your site may be outdated by the time you try to remove them. Other components might be incompatible with each other. All of these problems can be avoided by making sure that you are using the latest versions of the software.

While Joomla is a popular tool for a number of people, there are many people who don’t like the fact that it’s not as flexible as other solutions. It can be used to create a website that looks great, but you might need to spend a little extra time to make sure that it can handle some of the quirks that come with the platform.
